Auriant Mining held public hearing regarding Tardan CIL construction and «Pravoberezhny» development

One of the most important stages in CIL construction is to asses a future potential impact to the environment. We must take into account the opinions and suggestions of not only the design organizations, but also the community living in the area of our activity.
Auriant Mining held public hearings during last week. More than a 100 of representatives of local government and residents of Republic of Tyva and Kaa-Khem region shown their interest and attended hearing. Hearing took place in the House of Culture of the village of Kundustug.

The management of Auriant Mining, Tardan Gold LLC and the representative of the project organization LLC EMC Mining explained the features of the CIL technology and informed about the planned economic activities in the development of the Pravoberezhny deposit.

Locals were actively interested in the new CIL technology, clarified the planned environmental and industrial safety measures, noted the investor's assistance in the social and economic development of the district and the village.

However, the greatest interest of local residents was regarding an employment during the period of construction, and for permanent jobs after.

It was noted that application of CIL technology will provide greater environmental safety as compared to current heap leach technology. Cyanide is used in both technologies, but in CIL it circulates in a closed cycle, while in heap leach it appeared to the heap, in the open air.

Thus, the participants of hearing supported the initiative of the company in the development of production activities and the transition to CIL for the development of a new deposit.
