Group General Counsel

Born in 1982, Group General Counsel since 2012

Ekaterina Babaeva joined Auriant Mining in April 2012 as acting Group General Counsel and was, then, appointed Group General Counsel in August 2012. Previously, Ekaterina was Legal Advisor to the chairman of Colliers International CIS from 2004 to 2009, having previously worked as a lawyer in a company providing auditing and legal advisory services. Ekaterina graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University with a Degree in Law (Highest Honors) and holds an LL.M (Corporate and Commercial Law) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, which she received in 2018 upon successfully completing the LSE Executive LLM program. Ekaterina leads the work of Auriant Group’s legal team. Her areas of professional interest are cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings, complex litigation and international arbitration, as well as organizational management, human resource development, and executive coaching.
